Amy Winehouse Wants to be Friends With Britney Spears

my Winehouse has been telling holidaymakers in St Lucia that she wishes she was friends with Britney Spears.

The Rehab singer — who is currently on vacation on the Caribbean has shocked people with her drunken behavior.

“I was at a beach bar and Amy went past pissed, saying she would love to give Britney a piggy-back down the beach,” a source told the Daily Star newspaper.

Amy, 25, is also said to be finding life hard without estranged husband Blake Fielder-Civil, 26. “One minute she hates Blake and the next she’s crying about how much she loves and misses him,” an insider said.

Meanwhile, Amy’s dad Mitch has decided to distance himself from his troubled daughter.

“Now, if it’s alcohol instead of hard drugs — I don’t think I can go through that again,” he said earlier this week. “I’ve decided to distance myself, and whatever happens, happens. It’s her life. It’s her career. It’s her decision.”

Paul McCartney Seen Driving Gas-Guzzling Car

Uh oh! Paul McCartney is sticking his fingers up at the envirnomnet — he’s been spottted driving around Los Angeles in a C5 Corvette — which does around 16 miles to the gallon.

According to the Daily Mail, the former Beatle told reporters outside LAX that “I don’t speak English” as he jumped behind the wheel of the car, which has a 5.7 liter engine and takes just 4.8seconds to go from 0-60mph.

Paul, 66, also owns a Lexus LS600H hybrid — which he had imported from Japan.

Hey, remember Mika? (he’s the guy behind this.) According to British tab The Sun, the flamboyant singer is planning to splash out on Michael Jackson’s diamanté gloves when they go under the hammer later this this month.

The star — who has been in America working on the follow-up to multimillion-selling debut album Life In Cartoon Motion — plans to buy the gloves AND Jackson’s Zoltar The Fortune Teller fairground machine in the Neverland auction, starting on April 22.

However, Mika will need to dig deep — the gloves are said to be one of the most prized items in the auction.

Bruce Springsteen Named as The “Other Man” in a Divorce

Bruce Springsteen has been named as the “other man” in a divorce.

Businessman Arthur J Kelly has cited the singer as the reason for the break-up of his 17-year marriage to mum-of-two Ann.

Court papers filed by Kelly in New Jersey claim Springsteen, 59, had a long affair with Ann.

Springsteen’s publicist has since told People magazine that Springsteen — nicknamed The Boss — stands by a statement he released in August 2006 — when reports surfaced that he was involved in another alleged affair — which says his commitment to wife Patti Scialfa “remains as strong as the day we were married.”

“I hesitate to use this Web site for anything personal believing it should remain a place where fans of my music can come free of the distractions that occasionally arise with the rest of my job,” Springsteen wrote on his Web site at the time. “However, due to the unfounded and ugly rumors that have appeared in the papers over the last few days, I felt they shouldn’t pass without comment. Patti and I have been together for 18 years – the best 18 years of my life. We have built a beautiful family we love and want to protect and our commitment to one another remains as strong as the day we were married.”

Michael Jackson Ditches David Copperfield

Michael Jackson will no longer be using David Copperfield for his London shows — because he is too expensive.Jackson, 50, was keen to have Copperfield perform a series of illusions during his 50-gig residency at London’s 02 Arena from July until next February.

But the magician apparently demanded $1m per show — so Michael has instead signed up Mindfreak star Criss Angel.

“Michael wants to use loads of illusions to ensure that his shows at the O2 are as explosive and entertaining as possible,” a source told British newspaper The Sun.

“He was so excited about working with David but fell out with him over the money he wanted.

“Michael told David he would be wasting his time with the London residency if he was splashing out so much on just one person. So he told him the deal was off.

“But Criss is a superb entertainer and Michael’s delighted to have him on board — not least because he costs less.”

“I met her 3 times in my life,” said 44-year-old Cooper — who is due to star in The Hangover with Heather Graham. “I’m very flattered.”

“My mom loves it, but unfortunately it’s not true,” added Cooper, who split with actress Jennifer Esposito after four months of marriage in 2007.

Lady GaGa insists she’ll never dress down in public — because she doesn’t want to upset her fans.

“That’s a very dangerous precedent, and it’s not fair to my fans,” said the Poker Face singer. “They don’t want to see me that way, just like I don’t want to see David Bowie in a tracksuit. He never let anyone see him that way.

“The outlet for my work is not just the music and the videos, it’s every breathing moment of my life. I’m always saying something about art and music and fame. That’s why you don’t ever catch me in sweatpants.

“I have found that my work has to be both deep and shallow. All of my songs have meaning, all of my clothing has iconography buried into it.

“But by the same token, it’s just as special if you look at it in its shallowest form. A quick moment of melody, a beautiful dress. People think, ‘GaGa’s so sweet’, or ‘GaGa sucks’. The point is that it’s memorable.”

Angelina Jolie is said to be furious at rumors partner Brad Pitt is back in contact with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.

The Changeling actress went mad when she heard Pitt had spoken to Aniston’s best pal Courteney Cox at a recent Chris Cornell gig in Los Angeles.

“Angie went mad and told Brad not to bother coming back,” an insider told Now mag. “She told him he’d humiliated her for the last time and that if he wanted to go back to his boring shallow life with Jen, that was fine by her.”

Sources onset of Jolie’s new movie Salt recently expressed their fears that the actress might be self-harming again.

“It’s been so bad that some crew members have suspected she’s using drugs, although that’s out of the question. But the ones who know her realize it could be something much, much worse if she’s self-harming,” a source said.

“When she’s at home she just about holds it together, but she stays up listening to the same song over and over and rarely sleeps.”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have come to blows yet again — over whether the actress should appear on the red carpet with him at Cannes, a report claims.

Pitt is keen to have Jolie on his arm at the festival while he promotes his new movie, Inglourious Basterds, but the Changeling star doesn’t wish to go.

“Angelina does not want to go,” a source told Ian Undercover. “Brad told her if she does not go to Cannes it will cause him huge problems and will outshine the promo for his new Quentin Tarantino film.

“He threatened to do everything in his power to ruin her if she does not cooperate.”

It has previously been reported that Pitt and Jolie are heading for a $250m split.

“Brad and Angelina have been leading increasingly separate lives, and Brad has had enough of being a full-time dad,” maintained an insider. “He’s visited Angelina only once on the New York set of her latest movie, and he genuinely feels they no longer have the equal relationship they once did.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s six children have been running amok as the couple’s relationship reaches breaking point, reports claim.

Sources close to the pair are apparently worried about the kids — Maddox, 7, Pax, 5, Zahara, 4, Shiloh, 2, and 10-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne — suffering because of Brad & Angelina’s constant rowing.

“[Brad's parents] Bill and Jane think that Angelina could be suffering from postnatal depression because she’s hardly with the kids at the moment and the twins seem to have bonded with their nannies rather than her,” one insider told Now magazine.

“They can stop the babies from crying whereas Brad and Angie have no idea. When Brad and Ange are around, the older kids are clamoring for their attention, so the babies don’t even get a look in. It’s a chaotic situation as the kids are running amok. There’s no control.”

Lil Wayne Ready To Go To Drug Trial With No Cameras

Top Rapper Lil Wayne filed a petition to have cameras banned from his upcoming felony drug case. The case stems from Lil Wayne’s arrest at the beginning of 2009 in Arizona, where the police found Lil Wayne in possession of cocaine, ecstasy, and marijuana. The rapper was also arrested for having a pistol in the vehicle, but the gun was registered, and the gun charges against Lil Wayne were dropped.

Rapper LIL WAYNE […] - real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. - was arrested in Yuma, Arizona in January (09) at a Border Patrol checkpoint when officials allegedly discovered cocaine, ecstasy and marijuana on his tour bus.
Carter was booked on three drug possession charges, with a weapons charge subsequently dropped after the .40 calibre pistol found on the bus was discovered to be registered to Carter in Florida.

In a hearing at Arizona Superior Court on Friday (08May09), Judge Mark Wayne Reeves ruled media interest in the case is prompted “not by the facts but by Carter’s celebrity status”.

Carter is also facing trial in New York on gun possession charges stemming from a 2007 arrest in the Big Apple.
In March (09) the star was exonerated of felony drug charges in Atlanta, Georgia after a judge ruled a police search at the time of his 2006 arrest in the state was carried out illegally.
